Abstract

Un método y un aparato para sintetizar una imagen que muestra fibras. El método comprende proporcionar (210) un modelo computacional que describe la interacción de la luz con las fibras; obtener (220) un primer conjunto de parámetros de las fibras, que describe una pluralidad de fibras reales (160), para utilizarse con el modelo; modificar (230) el primer conjunto de parámetros de las fibras, para producir un segundo conjunto de parámetros de las fibras, que describe una pluralidad de fibras modificadas; simular (240), utilizando el modelo y el segundo conjunto de parámetros de las fibras, cómo interactuaría la luz con las fibras modificadas; y recomponer (250), en función del resultado de la simulación, una imagen sintética que muestre la apariencia de las fibras modificadas.
