Abstract

La presente tecnología proporciona una válvula de control bidireccional para un sistema de extinción de incendios. En particular, esta válvula de control bidireccional comprende una entrada, un primer pasaje o salida (puerto) de comunicación de fluido y un segundo pasaje o salida (puerto) de comunicación de fluido. El primer puerto de salida se configura para conectarse a un tubo detector como parte de un sistema directo y el segundo puerto de salida se configura para conectarse a un tubo de descarga como parte de un sistema indirecto. El tubo detector comprende un tubo sensible al calor adecuadamente configurado para romperse o de otra manera perder su integridad como resultado de la exposición al calor asociada con la exposición a una condición de fuego. Como resultado de esta ruptura, la presión contenida dentro del tubo detector se liberará y después actuará como una señal para accionar la válvula de control bidireccional de tal manera que el material extintor de incendios contenido dentro de un cilindro se libere simultáneamente a través del tubo detector y del tubo de descarga.
