Abstract

Las modalidades incluyen un sistema, proceso de control, y un método para mejorar la confiabilidad de cables eléctricos de aislamiento mineral para su uso en aplicaciones en la industria de petróleo y del gas. Las modalidades pueden incluir un derivador de velocidad PWM que tiene una frecuencia de operación optimizada, un filtro sinusoidal conectado a una salida del derivador y diseñado para mitigar los picos de onda de voltaje de reflexión de impulsos de voltaje PWM del derivador, un cable eléctrico de calentador con aislamiento mineral conectado a la filtro, y un controlador externo para la recepción de voltaje, corriente y retroalimentación de la temperatura para crear un punto de ajuste del voltaje a la que opera el derivador. Las modalidades pueden (i) mitigar mecanismos de fallo comunes de cables con aislamiento mineral que operan a un nivel de voltaje medio y en un intervalo de temperatura de 200C a 700C; (ii) ampliar el rango de aplicación de los cables con aislamiento mineral; y (iii) evitar que los picos de alto voltaje causen daños en el material aislante de cables del calentador.
