Abstract
Un método para preparar un copolímero zwitteriónico que comprende los pasos de: a) proporcionar una solución de al menos un monómero zwitteriónico polimerizable etilénicamente insaturado disuelto en un solvente; b) combinar dicha solución de monómero zwitteriónico siendo seleccionado al menos un comonómero de monómeros catiónicos, aniónicos y no iónicos etilénicamente insaturados; c) polimerizar el monómero zwitteriónico y dicho al menos un comonómero en la presencia de dicho solvente para formar una solución o dispersión de copolímero; y d) reemplazar al menos parte de dicho solvente con un solvente adicional, en el cual dicho copolímero muestra suficiente solubilidad para formar una solución de dicho copolímero en ese solvente adicional. El paso b) y paso c) de este método pueden realizarse de manera secuencial o concurrente.
