Abstract

Se describen alimentos para insectos que comprenden un derivado de líquido de macerado del maíz. Se describen adicionalmente métodos de suministro de dichos alimentos para insectos a insectos, tales como abejas. En cada una de sus diversas realizaciones, la presente invención cumple estas necesidades y describe alimentos mejorados a suministrar a abejas y otros insectos. En una realización, el alimento para insectos comprende un derivado de líquido de macerado del maíz. El derivado del líquido de macerado del maíz puede seleccionarse del grupo que consiste en un producto derivado de la fermentación usando medios que comprenden un líquido de macerado del maíz, sólidos derivados de un proceso de macerado del maíz, agua con gluten, destilado de macerado del maíz, levadura seca de destilado de cereales, una biomasa microbiana y combinaciones de cualquiera de los mismos.
