Abstract
La invención proporciona un método para preparar un producto de dióxido de titanio seco, que comprende las etapas de: - proporcionar una dispersión que comprende partículas de dióxido de titanio; - tratar las partículas de dióxido de titanio con un silano de la fórmula (I): RIIORIaORSiX3 (I) en donde R es un grupo orgánico C1-24 divalente que está unido con carbono al átomo de silicio, RI es un grupo alquileno C2-6, RII es hidrógeno, un grupo alquilo C1-16, un grupo éter alquílico C2-16, o un grupo aciloxi C2-12, X es un grupo hidrolizable, y a es un número que tiene un valor de 3 a 150; y después - secar la dispersión para proporcionar un producto de dióxido de titanio seco. El producto de dióxido de titanio seco se puede dispersar de manera opcional dentro de un vehículo.
