Abstract
La invención se relaciona con un proceso para fabricar vidrio plano, que comprende las siguientes etapas sucesivas: (a) aplicar una capa de una frita de vidrio a un textil de vidrio, el vidrio de la frita y del textil tienen esencialmente la misma composición, (b) calentar el textil de vidrio que lleva la capa de frita de vidrio a una temperatura T > TL - 20°C, TL es la temperatura Littleton de la frita de vidrio, por una duración suficiente de tiempo para convertir la capa de frita en una capa de esmalte de la misma composición que el textil de vidrio, y (c) enfriar el textil de vidrio impregnado con el esmalte o que lleva una capa de esmalte, obtenida en la etapa (b), para obtener una hoja de vidrio. También se relaciona con una hoja de vidrio capaz de obtenerse por este proceso.
