Abstract

Un método para acoplar un sistema de accionamiento con una rueda rotatoria de un engranaje de aterrizaje de avión. Un motor es operado para aplicar torque a un piñón de manera que el piñón gira. Se emite un comando de acoplamiento a un accionador a un tiempo de acoplamiento y el accionador opera el accionador en respuesta al comando de acoplamiento para mover el piñón desde una posición neutral a una posición de contacto en la cual contacta un engranaje impulsado rotatorio en un tiempo de contacto inicial, montándose el engranaje impulsado rotatorio en una rueda rotatoria de un engranaje de aterrizaje de avión; entonces después del tiempo de contacto inicial que opera el accionador para mover el piñón de manera adicional a una posición de engrane donde el piñón se engrana con el engranaje impulsado. Una distancia centro-a-centro entre el piñón y el engranaje impulsado se reduce conforme el piñón se mueve a la posición de contacto y a la posición de engrane. El motor es operado para reducir el torque por debajo de un nivel predeterminado a o después del tiempo de acoplamiento, mantener el torque por abajo del nivel predeterminado durante una fase de desactivación hasta el tiempo de contacto inicial, entonces después del tiempo de contacto inicial aumentar el torque por arriba del nivel predeterminado.
