Abstract
Se describen las modalidades de un sistema para administrar automáticamente los recuadros en relación con el lienzo de la aplicación en una interfaz del usuario. El sistema incluye un administrador de recuadros que trabaja en conjunto con las aplicaciones para proporcionar acceso a los recuadros, mientras que se mantiene visible una cantidad mínima de contenido del usuario. El sistema permite que una aplicación defina un tamaño del lienzo protegido. Cuando es necesario un recuadro, el sistema determina si hay suficiente espacio para el recuadro o se puede crear expulsando otro recuadro. Si es así, se agrega el recuadro. Si no es así, el recuadro se puede mostrar de una manera temporal. El sistema también responde a los cambios en el tamaño de la interfaz del usuario. Si el tamaño de la interfaz del usuario disminuye hasta un punto en el que ya no hay suficiente espacio disponible para los recuadros existentes, se expulsan uno o más de los recuadros existentes.
