Abstract

La invención es concerniente con un proceso para recubrir superficies metálicas de sustratos con composiciones acuosas, también llamadas composiciones de recubrimiento de aquí en adelante en la presente, en forma de una dispersión y/o suspensión que contiene por lo menos un aglutinante estabilizado y un formador de gel y forma un recubrimiento, en base a un gel iónico, con los cationes lixiviados de la superficie metálica, en una etapa de pre-tratamiento y/o durante el contacto, en la cual el recubrimiento es efectuado al: I. proveer un sustrato con una superficie metálica limpia, II. poner en contacto y recubrir las superficies metálicas con una primera composición acuosa en forma de dispersión y/o suspensión, III. opcionalmente enjuagar el recubrimiento orgánico, IV. opcionalmente secar el recubrimiento orgánico y V. recubrir con por lo menos una composición de recubrimiento adicional antes del secado y reticulación de todas las capas aplicadas, en donde los aglutinantes estabilizados deben satisfacer la condición de que a) una mezcla acuosa de agua desmineralizada, 0.2% a 2% en peso del formador de gel y 5% a 20% en peso del aglutinante estabilizado; b) es ajustada a un pH de 1 a 7; c) un sustrato limpiado es sumergido a la mezcla de acuerdo con b) a temperatura ambiente durante por lo menos 1 minuto y d) se hace una verificación en cuanto a si el recubrimiento orgánico de por lo menos 1 µm ha sido depositado, en donde e) se lleva a cabo adicionalmente una prueba sin el formador de gel, en la cual se produce una mezcla de agua desmineralizada y 5% a 20% en peso de la dispersión a ser examinada; f) la mezcla producida en e) es asimismo ajustada a un pH de 1 a 7 y g) se repite la prueba descrita en c) y d).
