Abstract

Un sistema de iluminación direccional para su uso con un endoscopio para la creación de sombras en un campo de objeto para mejorar la percepción de profundidad y el contraste. El sistema de iluminación direccional incluye una punta distal del endoscopio que incluye una pluralidad de puertos de luz y una pluralidad de fibras de iluminación que se extienden dentro de la punta distal del endoscopio y dispuestos para dirigir la luz a través de la pluralidad de puertos de luz hacia un campo de objeto.
