Abstract

The present disclosure is related to a fast activation telescopic post height adjustment mechanism of the type of posts that is formed by a mast fixed to a floor support structure and with a telescopic upper extension inserted slidably into the upper end of the mast. Characterized by comprising a helical spring element that embraces and presses said telescopic upper extension limiting its vertical displacement and defining two upper and lower tangential arms housed in a vertical recess of the inner wall of an actuating knob, that when turning itself partially in one or another direction compresses the spring arms expanding the same and allowing the vertical displacement of said telescopic upper extension for its height adjustment, and wherein said knob comprises an upper hole through which said telescopic upper extension passes and whose open lower end embraces the upper end of the mast. Said knob being captive but with the ability to turn by means of a securing element; a stopping el ement defined by an annular body inserted in said telescopic upper extension serving as a limit for said spring element so that the same remains in that position and limits the sliding movement of the telescopic upper extension.
