Abstract

Mejora de cobertura de canales en un sistema de comunicación inalámbrica tal como Evolución a Largo Plazo (LTE) y LTE Avanzada (LTE-A). Mejora de cobertura puede incluir repetición de un canal en el dominio de tiempo y/o frecuencia, aumento de energía del canal, y mejora de señal de referencia para mejor precisión de estimación de canal. Se describen técnicas de adaptación de enlace, en donde la adaptación de enlace es dependiente de una mejora de cobertura (CE) o nivel de repetición. Un método ilustrativo para adaptación de enlace en una Unidad de Transmisión/Recepción Inalámbrica (WTRU) en modo de mejora de cobertura (CE) incluye determinar el número de repeticiones para un canal de enlace ascendente, derivar la energía de transmisión para el canal de enlace ascendente con base en el número de repeticiones, y transmitir el canal con el número determinado de repeticiones en el nivel de energía de transmisión. Se describe adaptación de enlace con base en nivel de CE o nivel de repetición para canales de enlace ascendente y enlace descendente incluyendo canales de datos, de control, de acceso, y de emisión.
