Abstract
Se proporciona una composición de recubrimiento de oxígeno que comprende una matriz de hidrogel y celdas que contienen oxígeno que se distribuyen en modo no uniforme en la matriz, en donde las celdas que contienen oxígeno incluyen un polímero superabsorbente y un catalizador de oxígeno. También se proporciona un método para elaborar una composición de recubrimiento de oxígeno. También se proporciona un método que incluye polimerizar un polímero superabsorbente y un catalizador de oxígeno para formar una lámina, deshidratar la lámina, pulverizar la lámina para formar un polvo de polímero superabsorbente/catalizador de oxígeno, y combinar el polvo con un polímero formador de películas para formar una matriz de hidrogel en la cual se dispersa el polvo. Los componentes y disposición particulares, de la composición de recubrimiento de oxígeno, pueden mejorar la vida útil y estabilidad de la composición de recubrimiento, y el método por el cual se elabora la composición puede ser parte de un proceso continuo, en vez de un proceso por lotes.
