Abstract
La presente invención describe un procedimiento para preparar sistemas catalíticos basados en sales metálicas, soportadas en polímeros naturales y co-auxilidadas por bases orgánicas, para la transformación catalítica de Dióxido de carbono en carbonatos orgánicos por medio de reacciones de cicloadición a epóxidos. Las ventajas del sistema presentado se pueden resumir en el uso de materias primas de bajo costo para la preparación del sistema catalítico, reducido impacto ambiental por tratarse de materiales de muy baja toxicidad y/o biodegradables tales como los polímeros de origen natural, así como una alta eficiencia catalítica al lograr selectividades del 100% y en algunos casos rendimientos cuantitativos.
