Abstract

The present invention relates to a compound collector cylindrical-parabolical, which captures and concentrates solar radiation by converting it into thermal energy. A geometrical shape achieves said process with parables and shells protected with a transparent cover, which redirects the radiation to an absorber tube, thereby transferring the energy to fluid flow. The collector integrates support mechanisms, positioning, pipes, reflection, and absorption, as well as variants, which together provide a system to generate efficient, economical and compact thermal energy. The present invention aims to provide a new solar collector with concentration compound cylindrical-parabolical at a low price, easy manufacture, and non-maintenance. Also, it possesses technical characteristics highly recommended for satisfying the thermal energy necessities (of up 50°C to 150°C) of the residential, commercial, industrial, energy, agricultural and livestock sectors. Finally, it is an excellent option for water heating systems for multiple applications, heat energy activated cooling and cooling units, and electric power generation systems by steam and desalination cycles.
