Abstract

Se proporcionan métodos para mejorar la selección de individuos reproductores como parte de un programa de reproducción, donde los conjuntos de datos de estimación optimizados se construyen mediante la selección de candidatos para realizar una clasificación fenotípica, cuya información genotípica está además disponible, a partir de un conjunto de candidatos y para introducirlos en el conjunto de los datos de estimación y después evaluar la precisión de los valores genéticos genómicos estimados correspondientes a cada candidato (es decir, la precisión de la predicción genómica). El conjunto de datos de estimación optimizado se usa después como modelo para determinar los valores genéticos genómicos estimados de individuos reproductores en función únicamente de la información genotípica.
