Abstract
En la presente se describen métodos para formar óxidos compuestos inorgánicos. Tales métodos incluyen combinar, a un pH sustancialmente constante de entre aproximadamente 5 y aproximadamente 6.75, a lo largo de un periodo de al menos de aproximadamente 5 minutos, una composición precursora ácida y una composición básica para formar una composición de precipitado, en el que la composición precursora ácida comprende un precursor de alúmina, un precursor de ceria, un precursor de circonia y opcionalmente uno o más precursores de dopante; estabilizar el precipitado aumentando el pH de la composición de precipitado hasta entre aproximadamente 8 y aproximadamente 10; y calcinar el precipitado estabilizado para formar un óxido compuesto inorgánico. También se describen óxidos compuestos inorgánicos formados utilizando tales métodos.
