Abstract
Un método para determinar la presión descrito para formaciones de gas compacto incluye: obtener una muestra de núcleo en el interior del pozo de una formación de gas compacto penetrada por un hueco, donde la muestra de núcleo fue sellada en una bóveda de núcleos para mantener la presión durante el transporte hacia el exterior del hueco; determinar un espacio de poro efectivo de la muestra de núcleo; derivar la cantidad de mol de gas recuperada con la muestra de núcleo; y combinar el espacio de poro efectivo y la cantidad de mol junto con una temperatura del interior del pozo para obtener una presión estimativa de la formación. Una modalidad del sistema incluye: una bóveda de núcleos que proporciona un transporte con presión preservada de una muestra de núcleo de una formación de gas compacto; una cámara de recolección que se acopla a la bóveda de núcleo para medir volúmenes de fluidos y gas desde la muestra de núcleo; y una unidad de procesamiento que determina una presión estimativa de la formación basándose en los volúmenes, una temperatura en el interior del pozo y un espacio de poro efectivo de la muestra de núcleo.
