Abstract
La presente invención se refiere generalmente a composiciones de gases de soldadura utilizadas como gases de protección en un proceso de soldadura con arco eléctrico. Más particularmente, la invención está dirigida a composiciones de gases de protección utilizadas en procesos de soldadura con arco de metal o metal de tungsteno con gas para soldar piezas de trabajo que contienen aluminio o aleación de aluminio. Las composiciones comprenden de 200 a menos de 400 ppm de oxígeno; de 200 a menos de 400 ppm de un segundo gas seleccionado de óxido nitroso, nitrógeno y combinaciones de los mismos; y el resto que es un gas inerte de preferencia seleccionado de argón, helio y mezclas de los mismos.
