Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con un método para preparar una película pre-estirada que incluye extrudir una película multi-capa que tiene un espesor de película promedio inicial de 24 µm a 35 µm y estirar la película multi-capa del espesor de película inicial hasta un espesor de película final menor de 12 µm, para formar una película pre-estirada. La película multi-capa tiene una primera capa que incluye un polietileno de ultra baja densidad que tiene una densidad menor de 0.910 g/cm3 y tiene una segunda y tercera capas que incluye cada una independientemente un polietileno de baja densidad lineal que tiene una densidad de 0.910 g/cm3 a 0.94 g/cm3. La película pre-estirada es capaz de exhibir un estiramiento último menor de 28% a un peso aplicado de 45 kg y menos, con base en un cambio porcentual en el espesor de la película pre-estirada antes de la aplicación del peso aplicado comparado con después de la aplicación del peso aplicado.
