Abstract
Un método en un nodo de red (150) para ayudar a una terminal inalámbrica (145) a seleccionar un nodo de acceso para una comunicación en una red de comunicación inalámbrica (100). La red de comunicación inalámbrica comprende un nodo de acceso a la red celular (130) y un nodo de acceso a la red local inalámbrica (140). El nodo de red (150) establece un estado de una unidad local inalámbrica de la red (210) en la terminal inalámbrica, obtiene información de una condición de radio y/o una condición de carga del nodo de acceso de red local inalámbrica y el nodo de acceso a la red celular respectivos, y a continuación, determina cuál nodo de acceso utilizar fuera del nodo de acceso de red local inalámbrica y el nodo de acceso a la red celular para la comunicación, con base en el estado establecido de la unidad de red local inalámbrica y la condición de radio y/o condición de carga obtenidas del nodo de acceso de red local inalámbrica y el nodo de acceso a redes celulares respectivos.
