Abstract
Se describe un método que decodifica una matriz de mezcla descendente (306) para mapear una pluralidad de canales de entrada (300) de contenido de audio con una pluralidad de canales de salida (302), donde los canales de entrada y salida (300, 302) están asociados a respectivos parlantes en posiciones predeterminadas con respecto a la posición de un oyente, donde la matriz de mezcla descendente (306) es codificada mediante el aprovechamiento de la simetría de pares de parlantes (S1-S9) de la pluralidad de canales de entrada (300) y la simetría de pares de parlantes (S10-S11) de la pluralidad de canales de salida (302). Se recibe y decodifica información codificada que representa la matriz de mezcla descendente codificada (306) para obtener la matriz de mezcla descendente decodificada (306).
