Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a componentes de cable óptico fabricados a partir de una mezcla polimérica extruible de polipropileno cristalino modificado con uno o más polímeros modificadores de impacto. Los polímeros modificadores de impacto son reticulados y se pueden seleccionar de un elastómero de poliolefina, un interpolímero de multibloques de olefina, un compuesto de bloques de olefina, y combinaciones de los mismos. Opcionalmente, la mezcla polimérica puede comprender además un compatibilizante. La mezcla polimérica puede contener también uno o más aditivos. Los componentes de cable de fibra óptica se pueden seleccionar de tubos amortiguadores, tubos de núcleo, y tubos de núcleo ranurado.
