Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un procedimiento para fraccionar biomasa en sus componentes individuales; el procedimiento incluye pretratar una biomasa que puede incluir alterar mecánicamente las fibras y/o poner en contacto la biomasa con un solvente para proporcionar una biomasa fluidizada; la biomasa pretratada y fluidizada puede ser sometida a pulsaciones de alta frecuencia y a esfuerzos cortantes sin desnaturalizar uno o más de los componentes de la biomasa, para proporcionar una primera fracción líquida y una primera biomasa fraccionada; después la primera fracción líquida puede ser aislada o separada de la primera biomasa fraccionada; la biomasa puede ser separada, aislada o purificada en lignina, extractos para usarlos en productos farmacéuticos o nutracéuticos, celulosa, hemicelulosa, y otros azúcares y proteínas.
