Abstract
En la presente se describen circuitos anti-arco eléctrico (120, 310) configurados para prevenir o mitigar sustancialmente la formación de arco eléctrico cuando se conecta, o desconecta, un adaptador de energía (118) de un dispositivo cliente (102). El circuito anti-arco eléctrico (120) limita la energía suministrada cuando no está completamente establecida la conexión del conector (304) de un adaptador de energía al adaptador de interfaz (306). El circuito anti-arco eléctrico está configurado además para detectar cuando se realiza una conexión y elimina la restricción de suministrar energía para las funciones del dispositivo cliente. En un enfoque, el circuito anti-arco eléctrico incluye dos flujos diferentes y componentes asociados con un modo de detección y un modo de funcionamiento, respectivamente. En el modo de detección, se suspende el suministro de energía y un impulso de corriente puede enviarse para determinar si se establece una conexión. Si se detecta corriente, se hace un cambio a modo de funcionamiento y se suministra la energía para las funciones normales del dispositivo.
