Abstract

Se describe en la presente un método para proporcionar transformación química in situ y la ionización de una porción (por ejemplo, oxidante inorgánico) de una muestra mediante un sistema de detección de analito. El método incluye introducir un gas en una fuente de ionización del sistema de detección de analito mediante una entrada. El método además incluye generar iones dentro de la fuente de ionización y dirigir el gas y los iones generados a través y fuera de la fuente de ionización y a la muestra. La muestra se ubica cerca a la fuente de ionización en un entorno ambiental. Los iones químicamente reaccionan con la muestra y liberan e ionizan un analito de la muestra, el analito que se genera del oxidante inorgánico, el analito liberado que tiene un bajo punto de fusión y/o mejor cinéticas de desorción que el oxidante inorgánico. El método además incluye recibir el analito liberado mediante un analizador del sistema de detección de analito.
