Abstract
En la presente descripción se describe una cubierta de telecomunicaciones, en donde la cubierta de telecomunicaciones se configura para realizar una conexión óptica externa. La cubierta incluye una base que tiene al menos un puerto que tiene una sección exterior integral dispuesta alrededor del puerto fuera de la cubierta y un acoplamiento óptico dispuesto al menos parcialmente dentro del puerto. El acoplamiento óptico tiene una primera carcasa conectora dispuesta dentro de sección exterior del puerto y una segunda carcasa conectora dispuesta dentro de interior de la cubierta de telecomunicaciones. En un aspecto ilustrativo, el acoplamiento óptico se asegura directamente dentro del puerto de la cubierta de telecomunicaciones.
