Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición que forma espuma y método para usar la misma para mejorar la recuperación de petróleo. Tal composición que forma espuma comprende un tensioactivo de sulfonato aniónico, en donde el tensioactivo de sulfonato aniónico es biodegradable y tiene baja toxicidad acuática. El método para recuperación de petróleo de un reservorio comprende la inyección periódica de gas y tal composición que forma espuma en el reservorio y poner en contacto el petróleo en el reservorio con la espuma para ayudar en la recuperación del petróleo del reservorio.
