Abstract

La preparación de alcoholes de alta calidad del proceso oxo, de fuentes de materias primas no constantes es el problema técnicamente demandante tratado por esta invención. Se relaciona con un proceso para preparar de manera continua una mezcla de alcoholes, en el cual, una mezcla de entrada que comprende olefinas y que tiene una composición que cambia con el tiempo, se somete a una oligomerización para obtener un oligomerizado y al menos una porción de los oligómeros de olefina presentes en el oligomerizado se hidroformila con monóxido de carbono e hidrógeno en una hidroformilación, en la presencia de un sistema de catalizador homogéneo para proporcionar aldehídos, al menos algunos de los cuales se convierten a la mezcla de alcohol mediante la hidrogenación subsiguiente. Más particularmente, el problema tratado por la invención es aquél de especificar un proceso tal, que permita que se produzca una calidad constante del plastificante durante un periodo de producción largo y, si se requiere, se habilite un rendimiento más alto con la misma calidad del producto. Esto se logra • mediante el control de la temperatura y/o la conversión de la oligomerización, como una función de la composición actual del oligomerizado;.
