Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un sistema y método de producción de GNL con refrigeración mejorada. La refrigeración se lleva a cabo mediante un dispositivo de refrigeración que comprende una pluralidad de compresores de refrigerante (11, 13, 15, 17) configurados en una disposición en serie para realizar compresiones multi-etapa de un refrigerante, una pluralidad de post-enfriadores (12,14, 16, 18 ), cada uno de los cuales está acoplado a cada uno de la pluralidad de compresores de refrigerante para enfriar el refrigerante comprimido, una pluralidad de turboexpansores (19, 20) acoplado al último post-enfriador (18) y configurado en una disposición en serie para realizar expansiones de múlti-etapa del refrigerante comprimido, y una pluralidad de medios de intercambio de calor del refrigerante (33, 34) acoplados tanto al primero de la pluralidad de compresores de refrigerante (11) y al último de la pluralidad de turboexpansores (20), de modo que todos los componentes forman un ciclo cerrado de refrigeración.
