Abstract

Un sistema de lente adaptable que comprende i) un compartimiento de lente con una cubierta transparente; ii) un elemento óptico transparente deformable montado en el compartimiento de lente que forma una cámara superior sellada en el compartimiento de lente entre la cubierta transparente y la superficie superior del elemento óptico, y también define una región inferior externa con respecto a la superficie inferior del elemento óptico; iii) un primer medio fluido transparente en la cámara superior y un segundo medio fluido transparente en la región inferior, teniendo el primer y segundo medio diferentes índices de refracción; iv) un elemento estructural ubicado en y móvil en la cámara superior con respecto al elemento óptico deformable para engranar mecánicamente el elemento óptico deformable para alterar así la curvatura del elemento óptico deformable, alterando así el poder de refracción o el efecto prismático del sistema de lente adaptable.
