Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método y a una herramienta de rodado reforzador para aumentar la resistencia de superficies expuestas a carga en árboles, en particular en cigüeñales que fueron maquinados preliminarmente con arranque de viruta, siendo que las superficies cilíndricas de los muñones de cojinete principal y de muñequilla y opcionalmente también del vástago de cigüeñales comprenden perforaciones de paso de aceite adicionales. De acuerdo al método se somete a rodado reforzador al menos una de las superficies expuestas a carga con al menos un cuerpo cilíndrico que tiene una estructura de superficie y se extiende sobre la anchura de la superficie expuesta a carga. Después de esto las superficies expuestas a carga que fueron sometidas a rodado reforzador se maquinan con arranque de viruta con poca profundidad de viruta. La herramienta de rodado reforzador consta de un cuerpo de rodado reforzador cilíndrico con un cuerpo de apoyo opuesto, siendo que el cuerpo de rodado reforzador tiene engrosamientos sobre su superficie cilíndrica que se extienden ya sea en dirección de la circunferencia, o en la dirección axial o diagonalmente a la dirección axial.
