Abstract
Un mecanismo para remover de un paciente un objeto llenado con un fluido tal como un balón intragástrico. El aparato incluye suministrar un tubo que tiene un diámetro interno y una herramienta de recuperación capaz de deslizarse dentro del diámetro interno que puede perforar y sujetar el balón intragástrico. La herramienta de recuperación tiene sujetadores afilados ya sea con una punta afilada y/o bordes semejantes a cuchillos. Alternativamente, el tubo de suministro puede tener cuchillas afiladas que se despliegan hacia fuera para perforar el balón intragástrico. Una modalidad utiliza una punta de ventosa sobre la vaina de suministro y una varilla de punción afilada que se extiende más allá de la punta distal del diámetro interno, para un desinflado rápido de un balón. Varias modalidades aceleran el proceso de desinflado y simplifican la manipulación requerida por el cirujano.
