Abstract
Esta invención se refiere a un método para desfosforar metal caliente líquido, tal como hierro líquido de alto horno o metal líquido con una composición equivalente a hierro de alto horno, en donde una corriente de colada del metal caliente se descarga desde un recipiente que contiene el metal caliente en una unidad de refinado en donde en la unidad de refinado una o más corrientes de aditivos para formar una escoria fundida y una o más corrientes de gas para separar la corriente de colada de metal caliente en gotitas de metal fundido se dirige hacia la corriente de colada en donde una o más de las corrientes de gas y/o una o más de las corrientes de aditivos comprende oxígeno en forma de gas o en forma de compuesto, para permitir una reacción de desfosforización entre las gotitas de metal, el oxígeno y la escoria fundida durante la caída de las gotitas fundidas antes de que se recolecten en un recipiente de recepción colocado por debajo de la unidad de refinado, y a un aparato para realizar el método.
