Abstract

Se revela un sistema y método para remover nitrógeno y producir una corriente de producto de metano de alta presión a partir de corrientes de alimentación de gas natural. También se revela un sistema para producir líquidos de gas natural en conjunto con remoción de nitrógeno a partir de corrientes de alimentación de gas natural. El sistema y método de la invención son particularmente adecuados para usarse con corrientes de alimentación en exceso de 1,415,840 m3/día (50 MMSCFD-millones de pies cúbicos estándares por día) y hasta 21,237,600 m3/día (750 MMSCFD) y que contienen hasta 75 ppm de dióxido de carbono. De acuerdo con el sistema y método de la invención se reducen los requerimientos típicos de energía para comprimir la corriente de producto de metano, para producir una corriente de presión convenientemente alta para la venta.
