Abstract
La invención se refiere a un proceso y aparato mejorados para desgasificar azufre líquido. De conformidad con la invención el azufre líquido se pone en contacto con un módulo catalizador con porosidad de 60% o más, que resulta en descomposición catalítica de H2Sx para producir azufra y H2S, y separar/remover el balance del H2S del azufre por medio del gas de separación. La invención además se refiere a un aparato que comprende un módulo catalizador que tiene un volumen abierto de al menos 60% y medios para poner en contacto azufre líquido con gas de separación para llevar a cabo el proceso.
