Abstract
Sn i a presen te se provee una composición desemulsionante que comprende (a) una emulsión; y (b) una cantidad desemulsionante efectiva de por lo menos un compuesto poliorganosiloxano que tiene la fórmula general (I) : M1aM2bD1cD2dT1eT2fQg (I) en donde: R1R2R3Si01/2, M2 R4R5RLSi01/2, D1 = R6R7Si02/2, D2 = R8RLSi02/2, T1 = R9Si03/2, T2 = RLSi03/2, Q = Si04/2, en donde R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8 y R9 son cada uno independientemente seleccionados entre radicales hidrocarburo de alquilo, arilo o aralquilo monovalentes que contienen de 1 a 60 átomos de carbono, que contienen opcionalmente al menos un heteroátomo, o al menos un radical de poliéter monovalente que tiene la fórmula general Rp ; Rp es un radical de la fórmula general (II) poliéter monovalente: - (CnH2n) 0 (C2H40)o- (C3H60) p (C4H80) q-R10 (II) en donde R10 es hidrógeno o un radical alquilo monovalente que contiene de 1 a aproximadamente 20 átomos de carbono o un grupo acilo; los subíndices a, b, e, d, e, f y q son cero o números enteros positivos, sujeto a las limitaciones: 2 = a 1- b + e 4 d 1 e -1- f + q = 500, b - d 1 f = 1 y a -1 b r 2 + e 1- f+2g; el subíndice n es de 2 a aproximadamente 10; el subíndice o es de 0 a alrededor de 200; el subíndice p es de 0 a aproximadamente 200; el subíndice q es de 0 a aproximadamente 200, y, sujeto a la limitación o + p + q = 1; RL es radical monovalente independientemente elegido de la fórmula general (III): - X-O-(C2H4O)r(C3H6O)s-(C4H8O) t -{C(O)CuI42uO}v-R11 (III) en donde R1' es hidrógeno o alquilo radical monovalente que contiene de 1 a aproximadamente 20 átomos de carbono o un grupo acilo, y en donde X es un radical hidrocarburo o aralquilo divalente lineal, ramiftcado o cíclico que contiene de aproximadamente 2 a aproximadamente 20 átomos de carbono, que contiene opcionalmente al menos un heteroátomo; el subíndice r es de 0 a aproximadamente 200; el subíndice s es de 0 a 200; el subíndice t es de 0 a aproximadamente 200; el subíndice u es de 1 a aproximadamente 20; el subíndice y es de 1 a aproximadamente 200, y sujeto a la limitación de si r + s + t es igual a cero, entonces el poliorganosiloxano contiene al menos un radical Rp. También se provee en la presente un método para separar emulsiones que comprenden combinar los componentes de composición desemulsionante en una mezcla; permitiendo que la mezcla se separe en por lo menos dos fases y separe por lo menos las dos fases entre ellas.
