Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método para la remoción del diéster cíclico de ácido 2-hidroxialcanoico del vapor que contiene dicho diéster, en donde se pone el vapor en contacto con una solución acuosa para que el diéster se disuelva en dicha solución; de acuerdo a la invención, el método está caracterizado porque la solución es una solución alcalina, preferentemente con un pH superior a 10; mediante la presente invención se puede evitar el problema de la formación de suspensiones espesas del diéster en las soluciones acuosas; se puede aplicar el método con gran ventaja en la producción o transformación de lactida.
