Abstract
Un aparato de una red óptica pasiva (PON) que comprende un componente de terminal de línea óptica (OLT) configurado para acoplarse a una unidad de red óptica (ONU) y enviar identificación de longitud de onda de bajada a la ONU para indicar una longitud de onda que corresponde a la ONU, en donde la identificación de longitud de onda de bajada se transmite utilizando una trama de capa de control de acceso de medios (MAC) para un canal incrustado, un canal de mensaje de control, o un canal de datos. También se incluye un aparato de una PON que comprende un componente de ONU configurado para acoplarse a una OLT y enviar realimentación de longitud de onda de subida a la OLT para indicar una longitud de onda que corresponde a la ONU, en donde la realimentación de longitud de onda de subida se transmite utilizando una trama de capa de MAC para un canal incrustado, un canal de mensaje de control, o un canal de datos.
