Abstract

Se describe un método de codificación de imágenes de acuerdo con un aspecto de la presente invención que incluye: dividir una imagen en mosaicos (S201); codificar los mosaicos para generar piezas de datos codificados cada una de las cuales corresponde a un mosaico diferente de los mosaicos (S202); y generar una corriente de bits que incluye las piezas de datos codificados (S203). La codificación de los mosaicos (S202) incluye: generar una primera secuencia de códigos al codificar un primer mosaico el cual es uno de los mosaicos, sin hacer referencia a la información de codificación utilizada en la codificación de otro de los mosaicos (S211); y agregar una secuencia de bits después de la primera secuencia de códigos para hacer que una longitud de bits de los primeros datos codificados los cuales son una de las piezas de datos codificados, sea un múltiplo de N predeterminado de bits, N es un número entero mayor que o igual a 2 (S213).
