Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método y un aparato que pueden ser usados para llevar a cabo la localización WTRU-WTRU en las comunicaciones inalámbricas. Por ejemplo, una unidad inalámbrica de transmisión/recepción (WTRU) puede ser configurada para localizar otra WTRU. En este ejemplo, la WTRU de localización puede recibir un primer mensaje que indica la identificación del grupo (ID). La WTRU puede recibir un segundo mensaje que incluye un indicador que indica una o más de otras WTRUs que la WTRU de localización puede localizar. Si el indicador recibido es igual al indicador de localización de la WTRU de localización, la WTRU de localización puede transmitir una señal de acceso a la una o más de otras WTRUs. El indicador de localización de la WTRU de localización puede ser predeterminado, y puede ser recibido en un mensaje de configuración desde una estación base (BS). El primer mensaje puede ser un preámbulo secundario avanzado (SA).
