Abstract

Se describen aceites renovables que se convierten en compuestos aromáticos, por el contacto con una forma catalíticamente activa de galio, para su uso en la industria petroquímica y/o para mezclado de combustible de componentes o aditivos. El o los aceites renovables destacan el alto contenido de oxígeno, altas relaciones en mol de H/C y ácidos grasos superiores o contenido de éster de ácido graso antes del calentamiento y el contacto con el catalizador. El catalizador puede ser, por ejemplo, una versión de galio dopado de uno o más catalizadores de matriz de alúmina de zeolita con tamaños de poro con 10 átomos de oxígeno en la boca del poro, como ZSM-5, ZSM-11, ZSM-23, MCM-70, SSZ-44, SSZ-58, SSZ-35 y ZSM-22. La producción de compuestos aromáticos de los aceites renovables es mayor en los niveles más altos de galio-catión, con el nivel recomendado siendo aproximadamente 1.0 Gal/marco-Al. Si bien varios aceites renovables, o "bio-aceites" pueden utilizarse, aceite de alga ha exhibido rendimientos muy altos de BTEX sobre el catalizador del catión de galio bajo condiciones en o cerca de 1 atm y aproximadamente 400 grados centígrados.
