Abstract
Se describe un método y aparato para deshumidificación desecante eficiente en energía, de aire u otros gases, a bajos niveles de humedad. El método y aparato incluye un rotor desecante (rueda) que tiene más de una zona o sector de deshumidificación. Los sectores de deshumidificación separados pueden utilizarse para deshumidificar corrientes de gas o aire separadas, o pueden utilizarse para deshumidificar una corriente de gas o aire única al pasarla a través de más de un sector. Todo o una porción del gas o aire de descarga de un sector de deshumidificación se utiliza para todo o una porción del gas o aire de entrada de reactivación antes de calentamiento. La rueda desecante puede incluir más de un sector de reactivación, con fuentes de gas o aire separadas para cada sector. La rueda desecante puede incluir un sector de purga entre los sectores de deshumidificación y reactivación para mejorar la eficiencia térmica del proceso de deshumidificación.
