Abstract
Un método para obtener mediciones corregidas por beneficio. Se provee una herramienta de medición que tienen una o más disposiciones, en donde las disposiciones incluyen dos transmisores triaxiales co-localizados y dos receptores triaxiales co-localizados. Se obtienen las mediciones usando los transmisores y receptores. Las matrices de impedancia se forman de las mediciones obtenidas y las matrices de impedancia se combinan para proveer mediciones corregidas por beneficio. El aparato puede ser alternativamente una herramienta de registro durante la perforación que tienen una o más disposiciones en donde cada disposición comprende un transmisor, un receptor y un cubo y en donde la señal recibida por el receptor se sustrae de la señal recibida por el cubo o viceversa. Una protección ranurada puede incorporarse en cualquier modalidad de la herramienta. Las ranuras pueden formar uno más elementos de isla. Un material se dispone en las ranuras. Las islas y cuerpos de protección tienen lados complementarios ahusados que confinan las islas dentro del cuerpo protegido.
