Abstract

En la presente invención se describe un aparato enfriador que contiene una composición que comprende de aproximadamente 6 a aproximadamente 70 por ciento en peso de 2, 3, 3, 3-tetrafluoropropeno y de aproximadamente 30 a aproximadamente 94 por ciento en peso de 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroetano. Además, se describen en la presente descripción composiciones que comprenden de aproximadamente 58.0 a aproximadamente 59.5 por ciento en peso de 2, 3 , 3, 3-tetrafluoropropeno y de aproximadamente 42.0 a aproximadamente 40.5 por ciento en peso de 1, 1, 1, 2-tetrafluoroetano. Además, se describen en la presente descripción composiciones que comprenden de aproximadamente 54.0 a aproximadamente 56.0 por ciento en peso de 2, 3, 3, 3-tetrafluoropropeno y de aproximadamente 46.0 a aproximadamente 44.0 por ciento en peso de 1, 1, 1, 2-tetrafluoroetano. Además, en la presente descripción se describe una composición que comprende un refrigerante que consiste prácticamente en aproximadamente 58.0 a aproximadamente 59.5 por ciento en peso de 2, 3, 3, 3-tetrafluoropropeno y de aproximadamente 42.0 a aproximadamente 40.5 por ciento en peso de 1, 1, 1, 2-tetrafluoroetano. Además, en la presente descripción se describe una composición que comprende un refrigerante que consiste prácticamente en aproximadamente 54.0 a aproximadamente 56.0 por ciento en peso de 2, 3, 3, 3-tetrafluoropropeno y de aproximadamente 46.0 a aproximadamente 44.0 por ciento en peso de 1, 1, 1, 2- tetrafluoroetano. Además, en la presente invención se describe un método para producir enfriamiento en un enfriador. El método comprende (a) evaporar un refrigerante líquido que comprende de aproximadamente 6 a 70 por ciento en peso de 2, 3 ,3 ,3-tetrafluoropropeno y de aproximadamente 30 a 94 por ciento en peso de 1, 1, 1, 2-tetrafluoroetano en un evaporador que tiene un medio de transferencia de calor que pasa a través de él y produce así un vapor refrigerante; y (b) comprimir el vapor refrigerante en un compresor, en donde la capacidad volumétrica de enfriamiento del refrigerante es mayor que la capacidad volumétrica de enfriamiento individual tanto del 2, 3 ,3 ,3-tetrafluoropropeno como del 1, 1, 1, 2-tetrafluoroetano solos. Además, en la presente invención se describe un método para reemplazar un refrigerante en un enfriador diseñado para usar HFC-134a o CFC-12 como refrigerante; el método comprende cargar el enfriador con una composición que comprende un refrigerante que consiste prácticamente en aproximadamente 6 a 70 por ciento en peso de 2, 3, 3, 3-tetrafluoropropeno y de aproximadamente 30 a 94 por ciento en peso de 1, 1, 1, 2-tetrafluoroetano y así aumentar la capacidad de enfriamiento del enfriador.
