Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método para la recuperación selectiva de uranio a partir de una solución acuosa ácida, a base de sulfato, de fierro y otros metales que contienen uranio, por medio de extracción con disolvente, en donde el extractante empleado en la solución de extracción orgánica es fosfato de bis(2-etilhexilo) y un óxido de fosfuro de trialquilo ramificado y líquido es el agente de modificación. Es típico del método que la concentración de uranio en la solución de alimentación sea menor de 50 mg/l y se introduce un agente de reducción dentro de la solución acuosa y/o de extracción para evitar la oxidación permanente del fierro a trivalente. En el método la mayoría de la solución de extracción se hace circular en un circuito que consiste en la etapa de extracción y el tanque de almacenamiento y solo una pequeña parte de la solución de extracción cargada con uranio se dirige a lavado y desorción.
