Abstract

Se describe la provisión de una Guía de Contenidos en Internet, ICG, para dispositivos de reproducción que se puedan utilizar para tener acceso a contenidos vía la Internet utilizando una base de datos remota que contenga definiciones de jerarquía para navegación para dispositivos específicos. Los metadatos de contenidos se recolectan mediante un servidor remoto desde una pluralidad de fuentes. Un metacentro se construye con base en las alimentaciones que describen el contenido accesible vía los servidores remotos y se recuperan a partir de las alimentaciones para actualizar una base de datos de los metadatos de contenidos. Los dispositivos de reproducción se comunican con el metacentro y tienen acceso a los contenidos vía la Internet. La base de datos de los metadatos de contenidos define las jerarquías de navegación para los diferentes dispositivos de reproducción. La jerarquía para navegación incluye la información de categorías y la información de contenidos. Los dispositivos de reproducción se configuran para obtener una jerarquía para navegación adecuada para el dispositivo de reproducción; el dispositivo de reproducción sólo incluye la información de categorías y contenidos autorizados para acceso y con capacidad para reproducción. Los dispositivos se configuran para generar una guía de contenidos en la Internet utilizando la jerarquía para navegación.
