Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a aparatos, sistemas, y procesos para manejar la temperatura de una celda electroquímica que incluye un aparato (10) que comprende una entrada para recibir un fluido de transferencia de calor; uno o más compartimentos de celda electroquímica (12) para recibir una o más celdas electroquímicas (20); uno o más compartimentos del material de almacenamiento de energía térmica (14) que contienen uno o más materiales de almacenamiento de energía térmica (18); y uno o más compartimentos de fluido de transferencia de calor (16) para hacer fluir el fluido de transferencia de calor a través del aparato; en donde el espacio entre el uno o más compartimentos de fluido de transferencia de calor (16) y el uno o más compartimentos de celda electroquímica (12) incluyen preferentemente una o más primeras regiones (22) (es decir, porciones) que son substancialmente libres del material de almacenamiento de energía térmica (18): y el espacio entre el uno o más compartimentos de fluido de transferencia de calor (18) y el uno o más compartimentos del material de almacenamiento de energía térmica (14) preferentemente incluyen una o más segundas regiones (24) (es decir, porciones) que son substancialmente libres de una celda electroquímica (20); de modo que el compartimento de fluido de transferencia de calor (16) se encuentra en comunicación térmica directa con ambos el compartimento del material de almacenamiento de energía térmica (14) y el compartimento de celda electroquímica (12).
