Abstract
La invención se relaciona con un método para secar materiales pastosos, en particular lodo de plantas de tratamiento de aguas residuales, incluyendo una primera etapa de secado indirecto (1) suministrada con un fluido de transferencia de calor, la cual produce (1a,1b) lodo presecado y vapor de agua; el paso (6) de formar lodo en la salida de la primera etapa, y una segunda etapa de secado (7) del lodo presecado que es calentado por medio de un gas de calentamiento, en particular aire, produciendo la segunda etapa (7b) lodo seco, al menos una porción del lodo seco producido por la segunda etapa que es incinerada (23) para producir energía térmica, y al menos una porción de la energía térmica es usada para calentar el fluido de transferencia de calor de la primera etapa de secado.
